35) Refrigerant Reclaim Australia

Refrigerant Reclaim Australia (RRA) is the not-for-profit environment protection trust established and funded by industry to collect and safely dispose of ozone depleting and synthetic greenhouse gas refrigerants.
RRA was originally established to collect chlorofluorocarbon refrigerants as an important component of Australia’s response to the depletion of the stratospheric ozone layer; the program was quickly expanded to incorporate hydrofluorocarbons. In early 2003, the Board of RRA broadened the scope even further to include the synthetic greenhouse gases, hydrofluorocarbons. From commencement in 1993 RRA was a voluntary program until the implementation of the Ozone Protection and Synthetic Greenhouse Gas management in Act in 2004.

The OPSGGMA made recovery and safe disposal of ODS and SGG refrigerants mandatory by banning preventable emissions. The Australian refrigeration and air conditioning industry has now recovered and supplied to RRA more than 5,500 tonnes of unwanted refrigerant. That's more than 10 million tonnes of stratospheric ozone saved from destruction, and more than 10 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent saved from emission.

There is no doubt that the air conditioning, refrigeration and building services industry is a close knit community. With many businesses working towards the same goal of providing innovative products to their clients, events such as ARBS are always marked on the Testo Expos calendar. This year is no different. We will be holding a special product presentation on 'Testo's Smart World of HVAC&R' at the exhibition presentation theatre on Tuesday May 17th at 11 a.m. This gives us the opportunity to outline our thoughts on the industry and showcase our leading range of smart probes that we released this year. Totaline has been synonymous with providing a vast array of Factory Authorised Parts. This has been a valuable part of the overall Totaline business, however they want to show they are more than that. Due mainly to a restructure that has included an influx of industry experience, as well as some vital internal repositioning, there is a clear view on how to grow the overall business. You will see a wealth of new products, as well as an increasing availability of products and services from long term partners. A snapshot of new products on show at ARBS include TTL Air Curtains and Ice Machines, new Elliwell Coldface Controllers, Embraco units, compressors and concepts, as well as some other, perhaps unexpected, exciting new concepts in the making. 45) Trafalgar
Stand 252
Trafalgar is an Australian owned manufacturer and supplier of high quality fire containment products. To maintain market leadership, we stay up to date with the latest technologies and trends in passive fire protection and contemporary construction techniques. At ARBS Trafalgar will launch a revolutionary new fire stopping product called FYREBOX.
FYREBOX allows for multiple and mixed services to pass through it, and in close vicinity to each other, with proven fire testing eliminating the need for 200mm separation between adjacent services.

Many builders have learnt the hard way, by getting called back under warranty to redo poorly designed or installed passive fire protection. Trafalgar has changed the status quo; we have listened and delivered a new family of engineered products to make installation and ongoing certification more robust.  The use of FYREBOX allows a completely different approach to who does the fire stopping, and why on your projects. You can now plan ahead for services and avoid costly fire stopping mistakes by using FYREBOX. Visit www.fyrebox.com.au or call 1800 888 714.

At this year's ARBS show, Vaisala will present its fixed and hand held measurement instruments for carbon dioxide, temperature, humidity, dew point, and pressure. Recent launches include the new GMW83 suite of transmitters that complement the current GMW80 product range, fulfilling customer requirements for standard demand-controlled ventilation and for spaces occupied 24/7. These transmitters are used in a variety of locations, including office buildings, hospitals, and factories by building automation and integrator companies. Visit www.vaisala.com/HVAC

47) Ziehl-Abegg
Stand 197

This year Ziehl-Abegg will be presenting new and exciting technology including a new centrifugal fan that sets new records in air flow and compact design. The new ZAvblue impeller is up to 20 per cent more efficient than other standard products in the market. In this context, the bionic design of the new development from Ziehl-Abegg requires significantly less space in customer equipment, and less space utilisation equals increased efficiency gains.

Ziehl-Abegg will also exhibit the full range ECblue motors from 90Watt(EC055) to 22kW(PMblue) with the addition of the new, permanent-magnet synchronous internal-rotor motors in the PMblue series, these motors already exceed the requirements in the planned IE4 efficiency class, Super Premium Efficiency. The PMblue motors have the highest efficiencies, even at low rotational speeds and in the partial load range. The motors stand out with their low-noise and vibration-free operation and are also perfect for very high rotational speeds up to 5,000 rpm. There are no system efficiency losses normally associated with motor blockage in the impeller.
