Panasonic has cemented its position as a market leader with an impressive new range of products on show at this year's ARBS event.

The company has significantly expanded its product range offering both heating and cooling solutions that will be available
later this year.

The star of its ARBS stand is the new range of large capacity ducted split units including a huge 22.4kW system with a slim 370mm depth. That means it can be installed in locations most outdoor units couldn't fit.

With housing blocks getting smaller and homes getting bigger, the unit can fit down the side of the house without blocking
the entire walkway. Moreover the unit has a side discharge making it the only unit of its kind in Australia.

Panasonic's commercial sales manager for air conditioning, Shane Quinn, said the product will be available in Australia in August.

He said another major release is Panasonic's new cloud control system which can monitor up to 128 indoor units from anywhere in the world via a PC, phone or tablet.

"There are no ongoing subscription fees after the initial hardware purchase and users receive alerts and automatic fault reporting for central control over multiple sites," he said.

Panasonic has also released its new 2 pipe heat pump VRF system which is an inverter driven product that delivers outstanding energy efficiency.

"It is by far the most energy efficient VRF system on the market and it is available now," Quinn said.

"The maximum system capacity has also increased from 156kW to 224kW with 100 per cent performance guaranteed at 43 degrees celsius."

The stand also features an expanded range of multi-splits and wall-splits, ventilation fans, control solutions and design software.

Panasonic is also releasing a new Intelligent Controller than can monitor hundreds of units in a single building.

Quinn said it can manage up to 256 indoor units and will be available in November. A central controller which can manage up to 64 indoor units will be released in June.

"It does away with the need for separate control and timer interfaces by combining both functions into one easy to use controller," he said.
