This year's CCN Live event targets RAC technicians with speakers focusing on a wide range of issues aimed at strengthening the trade.

The focus is on real world issues and is an opportunity for attendees to be briefed on the latest industry developments in the space of a half day event.

Recognising that time is a luxury, CCN has packaged the event and prioritised the top, headline issues to ensure everyone leaves fully informed.

The goal is to bring everyone together at a single event called  "Trade Talk 2017: The Way Forward" which will be held at the Masonic Centre in Sydney on Thursday, August 24, 2017.

A number of exclusive announcements are planned and participants will be provided with an opportunity to network with peers over a light lunch.

Speakers include Australian Refrigeration Council (ARC) training manager, Noel Munkman, who will talk about the future of training and the migration to Cert IV.

Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Contractors Association (RACCA) president, Kevin O'Shea, who was appointed to the Australian Industry and Skills Committee's electrotechnology industry reference committee earlier this year, will talk about vocational education and training reforms.

Meanwhile, Ozone Protection and Synthetic Greenhouse Gas Policy director, Patrick McInerney, will deliver a presentation on amendments to the Ozone Protection and Synthetic Greenhouse Gas Management Act which is currently before Parliament.

CCN will also announce the winners of the 2017 HVACR Leadership Awards which are sponsored by ABB, Airefrig Australia, Daikin, Temperzone and Toshiba. To nominate go to www.climatecontrolnews.com.au/awards
