AHIC has appointed George Azzam to the role of general manager for sales and marketing.

Azzam, who has 16 years’ experience in the electrical wholesaling industry, will be responsible for Carrier residential and Toshiba air conditioning as well as the Totaline network.

He said the position was created to ensure alignment across AHIC Australia's operations and to support the growth of the business with clear direction for expansion in the Toshiba and Carrier brands plus Totaline.

“We see great potential in the Australian market. Toshiba and Carrier are
well known and respected brands and we intend to continue to grow their
product ranges in line with our customers’ needs,” Azzam said.

“In addition to new products we will also be working closely with our
customers to make sure that we are aligned with their business needs.”

When asked about his priorities for the year ahead Azzam said one focus is
on driving Totaline's refrigeration strategy. This includes bringing more
specialists on board and bolstering up inventory.

“We want to make sure we have the right people to provide advice and the
right products on the shelf to make sure that refrigeration mechanics have
everything they need to do their job successfully,” Azzam said.

“We want to add value for our customers; we understand that while price is
very important, it’s also about having the right products, reliable
delivery, and most importantly, excellent customer service.”
