The Heatcraft Gas Doctor Service has arrived with valuable refrigerant analysis that can prevent system damage and keep your refrigeration equipment operating at peak performance.

The Gas2Go Doctor Service is part of the Gas2Go Total Gas Management System. Services provided include analysis on composition, non-volatile residue, acidity, moisture, chloride, particulates and non-condensables.

Testing can be carried out on CO2, HFC and HCFC gases with all product tested in house at the Heatcraft Gas2Go laboratory facility.

Heatcraft business manager for gas, parts and consumables, Kristy Harder, said the testing of refrigerant can be useful when experiencing a loss of R400 series refrigerant charge or when trouble shooting causes of poor equipment performance.

“Carrying out a refrigerant test as part of your routine maintenance can also be preventative and ensure the longevity of your system,” Harder said.

“Future compressor burn outs, or elevated high side pressure caused by non-condensable gas are all diagnosable with a routine refrigerant check-up.”

The Gas2Go Doctor Service is also helping customers better diagnose system faults in CO2 systems.

“We understand that many technicians experience inconsistencies with the current oil sample kits available on the market, especially within CO2 systems,” Harder said.

“Due to the water absorbing nature of PAG oils, test kits may provide inconsistent results leading to the unnecessary cost of replacing refrigerant driers and oil. The Gas2Go Doctor Service eliminates this by providing a more accurate indication of the contaminant levels in the refrigerant.”

Customers wanting to obtain some refrigerant analysis will receive a Refrigerant Test Sample Cylinder Kit consisting of both vapour and liquid collection cylinders.

Low volume samples are required and test results are available within two weeks of receiving the kit.
