Mitsubishi Electric Australia recently held its 2019 Dealer Awards, recognising fiscal year 2018 performance.

Over 300 Mitsubishi Electric specialists, dealers and VIPs from Japan attended the conference at Sydney’s prestigious Shangri-La Hotel, hosted by MC and media personality Mike Whitney.

Attendees celebrated in style later that evening at a gala dinner where they enjoyed entertainment by comedian Cal Wilson and ABBA tribute group, Björn Again.

Mitsubishi Electric Australia managing director, Jeremy Needham, acknowledged the high performance of the company, a fourth consecutive record-breaking financial year.

“The business continues to grow with the company expecting to reach $400 million in sales in the next few years. Over the last year, we have started to fill gaps in our product ranges, which provide our customer base with a comprehensive offering,” he said.

“Since Mitsubishi Electric took over the Climaveneta brand, the investment in chiller sales and after-sales support is delivering strong growth for the company.”

A highlight of the event was a keynote speech by Australian former international cricketer, Glenn McGrath, considered one of the greatest bowlers of all time.

McGrath is also a leading force in the support and education for breast cancer, establishing the McGrath Foundation.

The sporting legend held the audience’s attention with an inspiring address, talking to his achievements on the cricketing field and beyond.

McGrath revealed his personal experience as a leader in his sporting field, and his success in maintaining motivation. He linked his drive to succeed with small business success, and in turn, the continuous growth of the Mitsubishi Electric Australia business.
