Three leading veterans of the HVACR industry were inducted into the Hall of Fame at the ARBS industry awards dinner last night.

The ARBS Hall of Fame recognises the hard work and dedication of successful  industry professionals with an outstanding record of service to HVACR.

Neil Marshall was recognised for his contribution to the industry over several decades representing a number of industry groups including AMCA and NEBB. He is also a life member of ASHRAE.

Another worthy recipient was ActronAir founder, Garry Mundy, who has been an Australian manufacturer for more than 30 years. As well as his service to industry the company has provided apprenticeships for well over 50 technicians during this time.

Finally, Dr Stephen White of the CSIRO was recognised for his contribution to industry research and his roles on a long list of national and international expert advisory committees.

The Young Achievers Award went to Leon Wurfel, managing director of Bueno. Wurfel was also the recipient of CCN's Rising Star award at the 2015 HVACR Leadership Awards. He is now a multi-award winning big data expert.

Seeley International won the Product Excellence Award for its Braemar 7 star ducted gas heater. The Braemar 7 star uses 18 per cent less energy than a 5 star rated gas heater.

The Norman Disney & Young design team were recognised for the refurbishment of Westpac's training and innovation hub securing the ARBS Project Excellence Award.

The Education/Training Award went to Sydney TAFE for its Diploma of Engineering Technology in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
