With the new phase-out of HFCs set to be legislated in 2016, Heatcraft has made available a complete Gas2Go product and service offering to help businesses understand and prepare for the changes ahead.

The new phase-out is in addition to the current R22 phase-out and will affect other HFC’s such as R404A, R134a and R410A. This phase-down may commence as soon as 2019.

Heatcraft Australia's gas, parts and consumables business unit manager, Kirsty Harder, said that in preparation for these changes, the company has engaged closely with global business partners to understand the options available to customers and to ensure new refrigerants are provided.

“We have recently introduced N40 (R448A), N13 (R450A), XP40 (R449A), XP10 (R513A) to the range and our range will continue to evolve,” Harder said.

“These refrigerants were displayed at our ARBS stand in May and received a high level of interest from customers.”

To understand the retrofit potential of these new varieties with existing refrigerants, Heatcraft has developed a retrofit guide that is in the latest Pressure Temperature Chart.

“We have local experts in the field to help customers navigate equipment retrofits,” Harder said.

“Customers should check our retrofit solutions checklist. We also offer a R22 Buy Back Service for recovered R22 refrigerant at a generous premium over current Refrigerant Reclaim Australia rates – subject to quality requirements.”

The Heatcraft Gas2Go refrigerant range is supported by a comprehensive gas management offer. Heatcraft boasts a first class, zero emissions, ISO9001 accredited, Gas2Go decanting and blending facility in Sydney.

The on-site laboratory houses testing equipment capable of delivering accurate identification of unknown refrigerants and contaminants present in CO2, HFC, HFO blends and HCFC’s.

Harder said the company's new Gas2Go Doctor Service can help support an accurate diagnosis of system performance causes to help avoid costly repairs or system failure.

“The Gas2Go Doctor Service Kit that we provide customers is supplied in an easy and convenient carry case, so that gas is not wasted in the analysis, and to ensure gas can be easily transported from site to any of our branches,” he said.

To help customers manage stockholdings Heatcraft offers the smart@ccess portal, which enables csv downloads to assist with ARCtick reporting.
