A seminar will be held on day two of the ARBS Exhibition explaining how to use Passive House methodology to deliver the design and construction quality required to achieve high Green Star ratings.

Over the last five years the Green Building Council of Australia has updated their suite of Green Star Rating tools to respond to the urgent need to reduce operational and embodied carbon emissions associated with the design and construction of buildings in Australia.

It is now substantially harder for design and construction teams to achieve 5 and 6 Star Green Star ratings as they need to substantially improve their energy efficiency in order to meet the requirements for buildings to achieve Net Zero.

Design teams are starting to run up against the limits of conventional design and construction practice in Australia.

At the end of this session, participants will be able to understand how the internationally recognised Passivehouse Methodology can be effectively used to control both design and construction quality which is necessary to deliver 5 and 6 Star Green Star rated buildings.

This session will commence at 11am on Wednesday, 29 May, 2024.

The ARBS Exhibition will be held at the ICC in Sydney from 28-30 May.
