Smart building materials company ClearVue Technologies Limited has secured a nationwide manufacturing and distribution agreement in Australia with Safety Glass Pty Ltd trading as Melbourne Safety Glass and MS Glass.
The agreement marks ClearVue’s first licensee in its home country of Australia.
Under the three-year agreement (with two five-year renewals), MS Glass secures exclusive manufacturing and distribution rights for ClearVue PV solar integrated glass units (IGUs) for Victoria, New South Wales, Tasmania, Queensland and the Australian Capital Territory.
In addition, ClearVue has granted MS Glass a sole license (with ClearVue retaining rights itself) to distribute ClearVue’s products into Western Australia, South Australia and the Northern Territory as well as a non-exclusive license to manufacture and supply the products to ClearVue on an OEM basis for these territories and outside of Australia.
ClearVue global CEO, Martin Deil, said the partnership will facilitate the first commercial rollout of their products along the east coast of Australia.
“This agreement couldn’t have come at a better time as we rapidly grow our pipeline of opportunities across the country. It formalises the relationship between ClearVue and MS Glass built over the last 18 months,” Deil said.
MS Glass general manager, Tania White, expects there to be a lot of interest in the ClearVue product as it is a standout in the global market amongst commercially available glazing options.
“Several customers are patiently awaiting product availability following improvement cycles and final testing,” she said.
“We will continue to build interest and a book of business as we prepare to launch the product for sale in the Australian market over the next six or so months. “
