Bosch has released the Compress 5800i AW and the Compress 6800i AW which use the natural refrigerant R290 (propane).

The new heat pumps have been sound-optimised from the ground up. Thanks to integrated sound diffusers, they are among the quietest heat pumps in their class.

Both devices impress with their low sound level, in both day and night mode. When it comes to the Compress 6800i AW, the sound level measured at a distance of 3 metres, is only 28.5 dB (A).

It was particularly important to the heating and air conditioning brand to ensure that the Compress 5800i AW and the Compress 6800i AW have an air flow with integrated sound diffuser, a sound-optimised refrigerant circuit and a sound-optimised casing that also reduces fan noise.

As a result, the Compress 5800i AW and the Compress 6800i AW can be installed even in densely populated terraced housing.

With maximum flow temperatures of up to 60 degrees, the Compress 5800i AW ensures a reliable heat supply in new buildings. The Compress 6800i AW, which can provide flow temperatures of up to 75 degrees, is also suitable for refurbished single and multi-family homes.

With radiators designed for flow temperatures of up to 55 degrees, the heat pump can still operate efficiently at lower outside temperatures without using the heating rod. Seven output ratings, including the 10 and 12 kW variants meet almost all requirements.

The wider output range, high flow temperatures and flexible indoor unit solutions make the heat pumps an attractive and future-proof solution using the natural refrigerant R290 also for refurbishment projects.

The compact outdoor unit and its extensive range of accessories allow flexible placement around the house.

With the various plug-and-play hydraulic solutions of the new generation of monobloc heat pumps, Bosch offers a suitable solution for every application.

The new space-saving all-in-one tower variant of the Compress 5800i AW M features an integrated 180-litre hot water storage tank and a 16-litre buffer storage tank. This makes it ideal for use in new buildings.

With a height of only 71 cm, the wall-mounted version is flexible and quick to install, also thanks to the integrated 3-way switching valve for the generation of domestic hot water.

The plug-and-play Compress 6800i AW MB buffer tower variant with optionally up to two heating circuits and an integrated 70-litre buffer storage tank with a reduced overall height of only 1.2 m is ideally suited for flexible and easy installation in refurbished and new buildings.

HVAC professionals maintaining and repairing the heat pumps on site benefit from the easy accessibility of all hydraulic components, which are hidden directly behind the removable front of the devices.

From 2024, the foundation service will further simplify the installation of the new generation of heat pumps: From the foundation with correct condensate drainage to the fully installed and ready-to-connect outdoor unit – the right package for any project can then easily and quickly be booked via the Bosch Partner Portal.

The supplied foundation is always perfectly matched to the outdoor unit chosen. Special features such as the required distances, a special installation site and the optimum installation of the condensate drain are also taken into account.

Installers looking to increase their heat pump expertise may join the “Klimahelden-Schmiede” for green superheroes.

This heat pump certification programme qualifies Bosch partners in areas such as work process optimisation, hands-on solutions and tips and tricks on electrification and sustainability.

After having completed the programme, they will be able to install heat pumps more efficiently and easily.

The Connect Key K 30 RF allows HVAC professionals to connect the heat pumps to the internet. It is included in the scope of delivery of the Compress 6800i AW.

Once the heat pump is connected to the internet, applications such as HomeCom Pro facilitate remote monitoring and maintenance of the system. The heat pumps are controlled via the integrated UI800 user interface.

Users can easily make settings on the heat generator’s intuitive colour touch display or via the HomeCom Easy app. Connecting the smart heating system to Bosch the Energy Manager makes it even more efficient.

The Energy Manager distributes stored renewable energy such as electricity generated by a photovoltaic system and stored in a battery throughout the house as needed. Using self-generated electricity promotes independence from the grid and climate-friendly energy management within one’s own four walls.
