Gree Australia will launch into 2015 with three new air conditioning ranges for the Australian and New Zealand markets.

Gree announced its new Solar Hybrid Air Conditioner and is entering the commercial market with an all new DC inverter range of ducted units, and a range of multi head units called Free Match.  

The first release for 2015 is Gree’s Hansol Solar Hybrid Air Conditioner. This is based on Gree’s standard Hansol range with Gree’s unique Power Supply Control Module (PSCM) fitted to the outdoor unit.

The PSCM allows the air conditioner to be connected to both the mains power and directly to a bank of solar panels. The PSCM uses either the Solar DC generated energy or the Mains Grid AC energy with a preference for the Solar DC energy.

The Solar generated DC current is used directly and there is no need for an expensive inverter. The maximum Solar Panel connection is 1kW.   Under optimum conditions, the Hansol Solar Hybrid offers energy savings of up to  97 per cent.  This not only saves the consumer money on energy but also reduces carbon emissions.  

After consultation with the distributor and contractors, Gree designed its ducted system to suit the local market. Gree's ducted units are packed with both installer and user-friendly features.

The operation levels  have been designed with Australia’s and New Zealand’s varied climatic conditions in mind.  Cooling operates from -15°C to 48°C and heating from -10°C to 24°C.  An additional feature allows the system to control the indoor temperature at 8°C when nobody is at home during extremely cold conditions.

The Gree ducted unit has two indoor sensors allowing for more accurate control of the indoor temperature during the cooling or heating operation.  

It can also be connected to two indoor controllers for operational flexibility and these wired controllers can also be controlled by a remote control. Multiple Gree ducted units can also be connected to a Central Controller which can control up to 16 units.

The whole system can be connected to a BMS systems using the pre-designed Modbus port on the indoor PCB. Gate Card and Human Sensor functions can also be added.

The new Gree ducted units are all DC inverters.  Utilising Gree’s G10 Inverter system allows for stable running at a low frequency of 15Hz.  This frequency control also allows for greater capacity control.  The Gree ducted unit can match its output more accurately to the actual indoor heat load even under extreme outdoor conditions.

This coupled with a closed loop start up, wide voltage adaption, one watt standby and auto restart makes the new Gree Ducted units an energy efficient and robust choice for your next project.  

Moreover, Gree has made the installation of units easier.  The communication wires are non polar to avoid communication issues and the ESP can be adjusted at the controller to match the required airflow regardless of the ducts and diffusers attached.  Factory set for 50Pa, the ESP can be adjusted all the way up to 200Pa.  Plus, there is a five year parts and labour warranty.

The Gree Free Match multi system is a split air conditioner that can combine one outdoor to a maximum of five indoor units. The outdoor units range in size from 5.0kW to 12.0kW with indoor connectability of 135 per cent.

Gree’s G10 DC Inverter is utilised giving ±0.5°C temperature control while offering powerful performance against a load variation of 10 to 120 per cent. This technology results in smoother compressor rotation lowering vibration and compressor noise.    

Utilising Gree’s own Multi Variable (VRF) technology, the Free Match system is designed for homes, apartments, small and large commercial sites.  To reduce noise at the indoor unit, the throttling device has been moved from the indoor unit to the outdoor unit.  Coupled with the Hansol hi-wall indoor head, the noise level can be as low as 21db(A).
A full range of indoor heads are available from 2.5kW to 8kW in capacity.
