Lighting has a key role to play in achieving net zero buildings and all the latest in smart lighting will be on show at sparc-FMA International Lighting and Facilities event to be held on May 30 to June 1, 2017.

Once again sparc-FMA will be part of the Vivid Ideas program at Vivid Sydney, the world’s largest festival of light, music and ideas. sparc-FMA will also feature a symposium involving world-renowned international and local experts in the fields of lighting and facility management.

Held concurrently with the exhibition, the sparc-FMA symposium features a long list of both local and international speakers.

It has been designed to ensure that attendees see and hear what’s trending now and a glimpse into the future of facilities and lighting.

The speaker program includes: PLP Architecture partner, Ron Bakker (UK); Lutron Electronics vice president, Dr Pekka Hakkarainen (US); IEC International Electrotechnical Commission, head of ICT standards coordination, Gilles Thonet (Switzerland); Spotless general manager of brand, innovation and technology, Julian Fogarty (Australia); Clanton & Associates president, Nancy Clanton (US); Australian Astronomical Observatory head of lighting, Professor Fred Watson (Australia); JLL Occupancy Planning APAC manager, Rachel Reese (Australia); Haron Robson director of strategy and innovation, Peter Glasheen (Australia); BIC Solutions founder and principal, Caro Walters (Australia).

To be held at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Darling Harbour, Sydney, the event will culminate in a gala dinner with a performance by award-winning entertainer, Casey Donovan
