Robertshaw, a global engineering and manufacturing company focused on controls and solutions for the residential white goods and commercial appliance industry, has acquired Burner Systems International (BSI).
Established in 1960, BSI is a leading provider of complete gas train systems and engineered burner solutions. The company is a full-service supplier of components and customized engineered solutions for gas appliances.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
However, Robertshaw CEO and president, Mark Balcunas, said the acquisition complements the company's gas products business.
He said it will create the most comprehensive portfolio of gas delivery products and systems for the appliance and commercial original equipment manufacturers on the market.
"BSI is a great incremental fit for our growing portfolio of engineered products and solutions.” he said.
The acquisition by Robertshaw includes BSI’s 863 employees along with BSI’s headquarters, engineering centre and manufacturing hub in Tennessee, United States.
This is in addition to world class manufacturing centres in Mexico and the United Kingdom.
