In a strategic move that further strengthens its presence in the HVACR and mechanical services sector, the Lawson Group has acquired Tower Thermal, an Australian manufacturer of cooling towers and related technologies.
Lawson Group director, Michael Bentley said he’s proud for his team to take over the reins from Steven Teleki after 45 years in the industry.
“Steven will still be involved in ongoing support, while the new ownership gears up Tower Thermal for new growth into both Australian and International markets,” he said.
The acquisition brings Tower Thermal’s full product range of Crossflow and Counter Flow Cooling Towers — including the Quietflow, Quietline, Sidedraft and ImpactDeck technologies.
Tower Thermal provides high-quality cooling towers to HVAC, Refrigeration, Building Services, Mining, Oil & Gas, Industrial Power, Food & Beverage and Data Centre industries, providing comprehensive engineered turnkey cooling tower solutions.
This is the sixth acquisition by Lawson Group which has hub locations in Brisbane, Sydney, Port Macquarie and now Melbourne.
Bentley said this deal positions Lawson Group as a true end-to-end solution provider and supplier to the Air Conditioning, Mechanical and Industrial Cooling markets.
The acquisition comes as demand continues to grow across the commercial and industrial markets for energy-efficient, scalable, and serviceable cooling infrastructure.
While focused on the HVACR industry, Lawson Group now looks towards more acquisitions in the energy sector, including industrial power and grid infrastructure.
