The HVACR Industry in Australia has already begun preparations for World Refrigeration Day, which takes place on June 26, 2020.
The global celebration is an annual event organized to promote the HVACR sector and to raise the profile of an industry that is an essential part of modern life.
Steve Gill of World Refrigeration Day said refrigeration, air-conditioning, and heat-pump technologies and applications have evolved out of a human need for food, comfort and thermal processes, with a history dating back centuries.
“However, it remains a longstanding frustration for those working within the industry that it doesn't receive the recognition it deserves,” Gill said.
“Modern life could not exist without it. There also needs to be greater appreciation by the wider community for the skills and knowledge employed by industry professionals to maintain this technology.”
For the second year running, Actrol along with Reece HVAC and Metalflex are excited to be participating in the international celebration.
With social distancing practices still firmly in place in Actrol branches, celebrations will take on a digital spin this year, with a social media competition and customer giveaways throughout the day.
For those in the industry who want a chance to win, it is as simple as posting a HVACR related picture on Instagram or Facebook showing what they have been doing to help the world keep its cool.
The post could be anything from an installation to an awesome worksite shot, the company said.
