Knauf Insulation has expanded its Performance+ portfolio with the launch of pipe and pipe & tank fiberglass insulation lines of product.

These product lines are the only formaldehyde-free fiberglass insulation available and the first to be both Asthma & Allergy Friendly Certified and Verified Healthier Air.

These certifications require the products to meet stringent indoor air quality standards and have been scientifically tested and proven to:

  • Contain no formaldehyde-based binders.
  • Release extremely low dust levels after installation.
  • Emit very low levels of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) 24 hours and 14 days post-installation.
  • Have no allergenic or sensitizing chemicals, or concentration below levels of concern for sensitive individuals

Knauf North America VP of marketing and customer experience, Linda McGovern, said IAQ and sustainability continues to drive innovation at Knauf.

"With Performance+, we are raising the bar for insulation and setting a new industry standard for healthier building environments,” she said.

Knauf's Performance+ Pipe and Pipe & Tank Insulation portfolio includes a range of solutions designed for diverse industrial applications.

  • Performance+ Earthwool 1000˚ Pipe Insulation: Durable and resilient, designed to handle maximum operating temperatures up to 1000ºF, making it ideal for iron, copper, and stainless-steel pipes.
  • Performance+ Earthwool Pipe & Tank Insulation: Ideal for large-diameter pipes and tanks, delivering excellent thermal performance and superior energy conservation.
  • Performance+ KwikFlex Pipe & Tank Insulation with Ecose: Offers exceptional thermal performance for tanks, vessels, and large-diameter pipes, ensuring optimal energy efficiency.

Over the past year, Knauf has introduced and expanded its Performance+ portfolio to meet the growing demand for healthier building solutions.

The addition of pipe and pipe & tank insulation complements the existing HVAC and residential offerings, making Performance+ an ideal choice for a wide range of building applications.
