Baltimore Aircoil (BAC) has acquired Eurocoil SpA, an Italian manufacturer of finned coil heat exchangers.
Established in 1995, and based in Bovolone, Eurocoil is a major supplier of finned coils, remote condensers and dry coolers to the European refrigeration and air conditioning market.
According to BAC, the addition of Eurocoil increases its manufacturing capacity in the region, while adding additional heat exchanger capabilities used for BAC’s existing evaporative hybrid and adiabatic cooling products.
In addition to its European headquarters and factory in Belgium, BAC has also had a factory in Italy since 1980. Baltimore Airfoil Italia is based in Chiuro, northeast of Milan and close to the border with Switzerland.
Baltimore Aircoil president Don Fetzer said the acquisition of Eurocoil and its previous investment in Coil Design Corporation in North America, positions BAC to accelerate the development of industry leading evaporative hybrid and adiabatic technologies.
“This investment will further our vision to reinvent cooling to sustain the world,” he said.
