The Munters Group has received an order worth $US88 million from a US-based colocation data centre company for chilled water handlers.

The equipment will be deployed at multiple data centres in the US with deliveries set to commence in the fourth quarter of 2024 and finalised in the fourth quarter of 2025.

President and CEO of Munters, Klas Forsström, said the deal highlights the company’s position as a trusted partner in the growing data centre cooling market.

“This major order, after several others, reconfirms the opportunity, strategic rationale and success we envisioned a year ago when the data centre part of Munters became its own business area," he said.

Munter Group vice president and president of data centre technologies, Stefan Aspman, said the data centre market is looking for energy efficient, scalable, adaptive technology.

“We offer exactly that through a customer specific solution that supports high, mixed, and variable power densities and is compatible with different cooling infrastructures to accommodate both current and future needs,” Aspman said.

Munters has some 4,000 employees undertaking manufacturing and sales in more than 30 countries. Munters Group AB reported annual net sales of more than SEK 10 billion in 2022.
