Finding time to be out of the office can be tough. It's easy to become pre-occupied with simply doing your job.

It's the reason why it is such a challenge to attend an industry event and even harder to commit to an off-site training course.

But making time is necessary. Let me explain why. Firstly, it is your responsibility to stay abreast of the latest trends and developments impacting your industry.

Let's be honest the time factor will always be critical and it isn't likely to change anytime soon but being up-to-date is part of the job, its at the very heart of being a professional.

For most of us, it is a bit of a juggling act. We want to make sure we are informed and aware of where our industry is heading.

At the same time we still have deadlines and targets to meet so networking with peers doesn't happen as often as it should.

And when do we find time to actually celebrate success?

At CCN Live we try to do all these things in a single afternoon. It starts with a speaker program that is first and foremost, informative.

I want it to be educational but I also want to keep it snappy, who wants to waste time being bored?

CCN Live is an annual event so its important to get the right mix of information, celebration and networking.

After the speaker presentations I get to announce the winners of the HVACR Leadership Awards. What I love most about CCN's awards program is that it is about people, it isn’t a project-based or company-based awards program.

It is all about rewarding people which are the most valuable part of any organisation.

Staff are a company's greatest asset and talent should be celebrated. We live in such a commoditized world that talented staff are often an organisation's greatest differentiator!

So join us on October 10 at CCN Live 2019 when we pop a few bottles of champagne at the end of the day and enjoy time away from the office networking with our peers. And yes we do it all in a single afternoon.

These are the reasons why you should attend CCN Live 2019 (no excuses).
