Meet Grosvenor Engineering Group (NSW) technician Caitlin Kilner.

Caitlin didn’t plan to be a fridgie but is incredibly grateful to have “stumbled into it.”

“It was during a conversation with a family member who worked in the industry that I learned about the field of refrigeration and all the opportunities,” she said.

“The idea of working with my hands and being part of an industry that played a crucial role in various sectors excited me. While it may not have been a deliberate plan from the beginning, I am now proud to be a part of the refrigeration industry and to contribute to the maintenance and operation of crucial systems.”

Caitlin said the best part of the job is the diversity. “I work on a wide range of projects and systems. From commercial refrigeration to industrial cooling and air conditioning, each job presents unique challenges and keeps me engaged and motivated,” she said.

“One of the most exciting aspects of being a fridgie is witnessing the constant advancements in technology. Being at the forefront of these advancements keeps me motivated to stay updated and continuously enhance my skills.”

Caitlin said problem-solving is the most challenging part of the job and staying abreast of standards.
