Meet Grosvenor Engineering Group (WA) technician Courtney Pipes.
Courtney loves working with her hands so being a fridgie was a natural fit.
“The idea of working with my hands and being able to see tangible results appealed to me. Also being a fridgie incorporates aspects of different trades, such as electrical work and plumbing,” she said.
“Being a fridgie allows me to combine my passion for hands-on work with problem-solving and technical skills. I am grateful to work in a field that I love and find fulfilling.”
Courtney enjoys diagnosing faults and finding solutions. “From troubleshooting a malfunctioning component or optimising the efficiency of a refrigeration system, no one day is the same,” she said.
Asked about the future and Courtney is passionate about encouraging other women to join the trade. She also enjoys industry events and conferences.
“Engaging with industry professionals, networking, and staying ahead of the latest developments will help me stay at the forefront of the industry,” she said.
