Hiflow Integrated Services Group apprentice, Mason Dye, admits that in the beginning he didn’t know a lot about the trade.
“It isn’t a trade I would have considered but now that I am doing it I think it is really good,” he says.
Mason discovered the trade after his mate secured an apprenticeship. It didn’t take long for the 20-year-old to realise it was a trade worth checking out.
He is now in his second year and says he will definitely stick with it.
Mason says he doesn’t mind the technical challenges that come with the role.
“I think the hardest part of the job is dealing with customers,” he says.
Down the track Mason plans to develop his skill set and do more refrigeration work.
