Noppen Group HVAC apprentice, David Phillips, heard about the trade through one of his father’s mates.
“My dad’s mate was looking for workers at the time and offered me a job, that’s how I got my apprenticeship,” David says.
"It turned out to be more than just a job, it has become a career.
“I like travelling to different places and dealing with new jobs, they are always challenging,” he says.
“It takes time to understand all the different refrigerants, pressures, temperatures and the components that each unit requires.”
David plans to stay focused and learn as much as he can for the next couple of years.
“I want to continue with Noppen so I can gain the knowledge and skills required to possibly start my own company one day.”
