SP&R Air Conditioning apprentice, Tahlia Agnew, couldn’t wait to finish school and join the workforce.
Her school found her a placement at SP&R Air Conditioning where Tahlia secured a trial.
“After my two week trial I felt good and knew I could succeed in this trade and that’s when I was offered a job as an apprentice,” she says.
The 20-year-old is now in the third year of her apprenticeship. Tahlia is keen to learn as much as she can.
“I enjoy being hands-on and doing something different every day, it is never the same,” she says.
Tahlia says the biggest challenge is working in a male-dominated trade but she gets plenty of support.
“My goal is to eventually work my way up to a management position,” Tahlia says.
