Trane Thermo King Pty Ltd apprentice, Yianni Papazoglou, was always planning to learn a trade after finishing school.
He just wasn’t sure which one would suit him the best. Luckily, the 20-year-old didn’t have to go far to find out because Yianni’s father is a fridgie.
“The more my father told me about the trade, the more interested I became,” Yianni says. “I like it and will definitely stick with it.”
Yianna is in the third year of his apprenticeship and says dealing with the electrical side of the trade is the most challenging.
“Right now I do a lot of servicing and maintenance work but look forward to doing more repairs in the future,” Yianni says.
“Down the track I might specialise and become a chiller technician.”
