SWEP, which is part of the Dover Corporation, has introduced the new E5K heat exchanger to its boiler range.

The E5K is compatible with high-efficiency condensing boilers and optimizes heat transfer while achieving a low water pressure drop on the central heating side.

The E5K is equipped with SWEP's patented AsyMatrix technology, which enables high asymmetry between the central heating and tap water sides.

Lead design engineer, Anders Kronstrom, said the new product has outstanding mechanical properties and a low-pressure drop on the central heating side.

“The E5K brings great value to our customers and complements our BPHE boiler range," he said.

“The ultra-compact and energy-efficient E5K optimizes the mechanical strength of the boiler by incorporating an All-Active plate pack.

“This has start and end plates that provide mechanical stability and higher thermal efficiency. The operating temperature of the boiler is lowered, resulting in faster hot water production.”

SWEP's heat exchanger range for boilers includes the E5K, E5AS, E5P, E6T, and E8AS, which are available in a range of capacities. Their unique design, with integrated start and end plates, makes for a compact product, which optimizes efficiency.

Dover is a diversified global manufacturer with annual revenue of over $US7 billion.

A new research report by MarketsandMarkets said the Brazed Plate Heat Exchangers Market (BPHEs) is expected to grow from $US799 million in 2019 to $US1.12 billion by 2024.

This represents a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 7%.

Earlier this year SWEP announced the introduction of an all-new evaporator to its True Dual heat exchanger range, which targets chillers and heat pump applications with a higher temperature approach.

The DV650 evaporator has been added to the D650 True Dual heat exchanger range and can be used with the majority of current high-pressure refrigerants.

The DV650 is one of the biggest brazed plate heat exchangers within the True Dual range. It offers benefits such as condensed use of space, improved thermal efficiency and reduced maintenance.

SWEP's D650 True Dual heat exchanger range includes the DFX650 evaporator and the DB650 condenser. The range can be utilized at various levels of system efficiency with high to low-temperature approaches and covering capacities from 250 kW to 700 kW. With the addition of the DV650, the application reach for the range has been significantly expanded.
