Temperzone will once again sponsor the Tradie of the Year Award, another category that has been included in the revised 2022 Awards of Excellence.

Temperzone group brand manager, Damien Walsh, said the awards program is a great way for Temperzone to show its support for Australia’s refrigeration and air conditioning technicians.

“The skills of a good tradie are always evolving as they stay abreast of changes in technology to meet customer expectations in a highly competitive market,” Walsh said.

“This award recognises technical excellence and is presented to a tradie that shows the potential to be the best in the business. This is a person passionate about their trade, who goes above and beyond to ensure they do a good job every time.

“They work well with others and take pride in their work. In addition to a high level of technical skill, they have great communication skills and demonstrate a good understanding of the business from problem solving and safety awareness to trouble shooting skills.”

Walsh said HVAC equipment is important for providing comfort, but it is vital for health and safety.

“Not only do technicians possess specialised training and expertise to repair systems, but they also work with clients to build HVAC systems that provide enhanced performance and system efficiency,” he said.

“A good tradie is a critical thinker capable of troubleshooting and diagnosing problems. They have a huge part to play in ensuring equipment is installed and operating to manufacturer’s standards as well as ensuring the ongoing, application, control and efficiency of systems.

“They do an important job and we want to see the best and brightest rewarded for their good work.”
