company’s investment reflects its focus on growth and innovation.

Tosh said the increased activity isn’t just coming from Australia’s commercial HVAC market.

“It has been accompanied by a rise in R&D and product development activity to support other Rinnai subsidiaries around the world,” he said. “Rinnai Australia has become a centre of excellence within the group which has led to us supplying products to markets around the globe.”

Rinnai has more than 40 manufacturing sites around the world with two world-class facilities based in Victoria.

“Rinnai Australia has also expanded the capability of the manufacturing facility in Malaysia to add the production of commercial hot water heat pumps to the standard specification APAC range,” he said.

“Whilst customised APAC solutions are produced here in Victoria, these tailored solutions are expertly crafted with consultants, building owners, facility managers and installers in mind. To engineer and design these systems we have continued to invest in R&D and the capability of our NATA accredited lab which is also used by other HVAC manufacturers.”

In the commercial and industrial sector, Rinnai is best known for APAC packaged units and ducted split systems which boast a low cost of ownership. They are also suitable for both new developments and the replacement market.

With a long history of proven expertise, APAC has a reputation for delivering reliable performance and a vast range of factory-fitted options that make them ideal for a variety of commercial sites.

Recently Rinnai engineered a customised APAC packaged system in the Australian outback for mining giant, Fortescue. A key customisation was the stainless steel casing for corrosion resistance and protection against the elements in Fortescue’s iron ore operation in Port Hedland.

For Rinnai’s residential range, a factor that has generated a lot of customer interest is Rinnai’s 7 year warranty which is an attractive differentiator against the market standard of 5 years.

“This has proven to be very popular with our customers, especially with new home builders where strong warranties are highly valued,” Tosh said.

Rinnai sets the benchmark in air conditioning performance with a market-leading split system range boasting efficiency ratings of up to 9 stars, delivering comfort with minimal energy use. For larger applications, Rinnai ducted systems provide outstanding design flexibility with maximum pipe lengths of up to 75 metres, ensuring superior installation options across diverse building layouts.

Engineered to perform in Australia’s toughest conditions, Rinnai ducted systems operate reliably in ambient temperature limits in cooling from -15°C to 50°C. Adding to this versatility, our powerful 18kW multi split outdoor unit supports connections of up to six indoor units, making it the ideal solution for both residential and light commercial spaces requiring tailored climate control.

Rinnai is on a mission to deliver solutions that maximise efficiency without compromising on comfort, with the seamless integration of iZone’s climate and smart home control technology and Smart Energy’s solar, battery and EV charging expertise, creating a complete, harmonious solution for the modern home.

“Our focus is clear, we’re intent on delivering products that deliver maximum comfort and efficiency, powered by intelligent home energy solutions that make life effortless and sustainable” Tosh said.
