Haier Air Conditioning is engaged in a massive product rollout across Australia.

As the biggest appliance provider in the world, Haier has been investing heavily in the local market in recent years as part of its strategy to establish a solid national footprint across the country by 2018.

In this exclusive interview, CCN Editor, Sandra Van Dijk, talks to Haier general manager of commercial sales & air conditioning, Tim Kirkup, about the company's local product rollout which covers every market segment from Hi Walls and ducted through to cassettes and chillers.

This product-led assault on the Australian market began with High Wall splits over summer and will continue in coming months.

Supporting the introduction of so many products is new staff, a solid distribution network and warehousing as well as a training academy in Brisbane for contractors. The Haier group expansion globally began with its $US5.6 billion buyout of Fisher & Paykel.

To strengthen its air conditioning capabilities locally the company is integrating its field service requirements with the Fisher & Paykel network of over 90 company owned service vans supporting Haier.
