Australian smart home system manufacturer, MyPlace has launched IQ Air, its most innovative system to date, designed to help households increase comfort while driving down energy costs.
Designed and engineered in Australia, IQ Air features IQe, MyPlace’s unique energy-saving technology that can gradually pre-condition the home when excess solar energy is available.
MyPlace Group general manager, Darren Bree, said IQ Air was designed to help Australians get more value from the energy their homes already generate.
“Many households produce excess solar energy during the day, when no one is home to use it. IQ Air can put that energy to work by gradually pre-conditioning the home, helping families come home to comfort without relying as heavily on higher-cost grid electricity later in the day,” Bree said.
“It provides homeowners with a practical way to get more value from their rooftop solar while helping reduce the cost of running their air-conditioning.”
Bree said the demand for energy efficient features for buyers and sellers continues to grow, and IQ Air combines quality Australian-made technology with sleek design and controls to support homeowners reach their energy goals.
“As more people invest in solar energy to run their homes, our systems can deliver on that investment by using less energy to keep the home comfortable, run itself during lower-cost times and save families up to $617 a year on their power bills,” he said.
Bree said MyPlace has been a pioneer in air conditioning for more than 35 years, delivering Australian made smart home technology and “super smart air conditioning” to over 150,000 Aussie homes.
“Our goal is to help Australians get their energy bills closer to zero. MyPlaceIQ can control up to 10 individual zones, directing airflow only to the rooms where it’s needed and reducing energy wasted heating or cooling unused areas,” Bee said.
“With the MyPlaceIQ smartphone app and optional wall-mounted touchscreen, homeowners can easily adjust settings, create schedules and manage their air-conditioning from home or remotely.
“This system is all about making everyday life easier for Australians.”
The MyPlaceIQ range, including IQ Air, can be used with a range of air conditioning types, including split systems, ducted systems and variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems.
