Midea has launched the new Edith Series residential air conditioning range.
The Edith Series quickly delivers a cooler indoor environment with the integration of rapid cooling features, which drop indoor temperatures by 6°C in just 10 minutes.
In addition, advanced energy saving logic in AI ECOMASTER mode intelligently optimises energy use for better power bill management.
Achieving ideal comfort levels is also a focus of Midea’s new Edith Series, with an enhanced airflow system offering both vertical and horizontal auto-swing to spread comfort more widely throughout the room.
The Wind Avoid Me feature directs airflow away from occupants at the widest possible angle, helping to prevent direct cold or hot drafts for greater comfort at night, particularly for young children and babies.
Midea’s Smart Control suite enhances smart home automation with features such as Wi-Fi connectivity and voice control compatibility with Google Home and Alexa, making it easier than ever for Aussie households to control their home comfort from anywhere, anytime.
The remote control of the Edith Series also has a built-in temperature sensor to detect its surrounding temperature, while the Follow Me feature adjusts the room temperature more accurately for greater comfort.
With more time spent indoors to escape the heat, Midea recognises that healthy air management is a must for every household and has integrated I-Clean Pro into the Edith Series to ensure a cool home is also a healthy and hygienic home environment.
I-Clean Pro is a process that involves the Midea Inverter AC undergoing a 6-step cleaning process for the IDU evaporator, followed by high temperature steam sterilisation at 56°C for over 30 minutes, keeping the AC clean and performing well so your loved one can breathe easy.
The new Edith Series is built on Midea's Prime Guard durability platform which helps to extend its lifespan in Australian conditions.
Prime Guard features include graphene coating, 50°C cooling capability and auto-restart and refrigerant leakage detection, which are consistent across Midea’s entire Hi-Wall range of residential air conditioners.
John Milonas of Midea ANZ said the manufacturer has been innovating in residential air-conditioning for over 40 years, adapting technology to perform in even the toughest Australian conditions while delivering the reliability and energy efficiency households expect.
“With Australia bracing for a hotter than average spring and a scorching summer, a reliable air conditioner is an essential addition to every Australian household to help make the home a more comfortable environment when the mercury climbs,” he said.
“With Heat/Cool Flash cooling a room by 6°C in just 10 minutes, the new Edith Series helps make the home a cool retreat from the heat. With Prime Guard and 50°C cooling capability, the Edith Series is built to help families stay comfortable, even on the hottest days.”
The Edith Series is built around quieter operation and more advanced air quality and energy management.
It introduces I-Clean Pro to reduce coil-trapped bacteria by 99.9% for healthy air management. The Edith Series also features Outdoor Silent operation, which reduces outdoor unit noise by 3 to 7 decibels.
Edith also integrates Heat/Cool Flash, which cools the room by 6°C quickly in just 10 minutes.
Further to this, Midea’s Edith Series offers the powerful AI ECOMASTER feature which is trained on billions of data points
