MIDEA has expanded its range of solutions for the local market with the introduction of a new air-cooled magnetic bearing centrifugal chiller.
Hayden Jones, national sales manager for MBS HVAC, the official distributor of MIDEA’S complete chiller range across Australia and New Zealand, said the new air-cooled magnetic bearing centrifugal chiller expands the already successful lineup led by the flagship APEX water-cooled magnetic bearing chiller.
Hayden said as part of the launch, MIDEA is offering a free 5 yr extended warranty and very competitive pricing on their complete range of chiller products for the ANZ market.
At the heart of both the AirBoost MAG and APEX chillers is Midea’s proprietary magnetic bearing compressor.
This technology was developed in-house by Midea Building Technologies to offer the ultimate in reliability, energy efficiency, and operational longevity.
Hayden made special mention of the unique design feature of the MIDEA compressor, with ultra-long-life double-row spare bearings which have been tested to withstand over 300 hard rotor drops, compared to less than 6 for other Magnetic Bearing brands — representing 49 times longer lifespan in high-stress conditions.
