Fujitsu General Australia and New Zealand hosted its annual President’s Cup golf tournament, bringing together approximately 85 partners, staff, and VIP guests for a day focused on strengthening relationships and acknowledging the contribution of the company’s valued partner network.

Held as one of the most significant events on Fujitsu General ANZ’s calendar, the tournament continues to play an important role in supporting collaboration across the air conditioning industry.

This year’s event featured appearances from Essendon Football Club AFLW co-captains Bonnie Toogood and Stephanie Cain, along with club representative Richard Foote, who engaged with attendees throughout the event.

Fujitsu General Australia and New Zealand brand ambassadors and cricket legends Stephen Fleming and Mark Taylor also participated.

The President’s Cup again attracted strong participation from Fujitsu General Australia and New Zealand's partners, reflecting the enduring value of the event as a forum for industry engagement.

The tournament provides a meaningful opportunity for partners and Fujitsu General Australia and New Zealand leaders to discuss market trends and customer expectations in an informal setting.

This year’s winners were Aaron Trotter from New Zealand Heat Pumps and Darren Vernon from Happy Air Heat Pumps in New Zealand, with a back-to-back win from the 2023 President’s Cup. The runners-up were Luke Felstead of Devcon (QLD) and John McKee of Azure (QLD), acknowledged for their strong showing on the course.

Fujitsu General ANZ managing director, Philip Perham, said the President’s Cup is an important moment in the company’s calendar because it brings partners together to acknowledge the work they do across the year, and share insights about how the market is evolving.

They can also discuss key updates from the company on product, partner programs, and seasonal activity.

“Every attendee plays a role in shaping the success of Fujitsu General Australia and New Zealand's brand across the region, and this event gives us the chance to engage with them in a meaningful way,” he said.

“It also offers valuable time for open discussion about customer expectations, industry pressures, and the opportunities emerging in both markets.

“Fujitsu General Australia and New Zealand's partners remain central to how it delivers quality outcomes for customers, and the President’s Cup reinforces the importance of those relationships.

“The conversations held during this event help deepen our understanding of what partners are experiencing and how Fujitsu General Australia and New Zealand can continue to support them with stronger programs, better tools, and efficient ways of working. Events like this contribute to building a more connected network that is better equipped to respond to shifts in customer behaviour and the broader competitive landscape.”

Perham said the President’s Cup reinforces their ongoing commitment to fostering a supportive and collaborative partner ecosystem.

He said the company continues to invest in partner training, product innovation, and service enhancement to ensure customers receive reliable, efficient, and high-quality solutions.

“The tournament also highlights the strength of our long-term relationships across the industry. Many of the participating businesses have worked with the company for more than a decade, contributing to a stable and consistent partner network that supports customers across both residential and commercial markets,” he said.

“As the air conditioning sector continues to navigate shifting demand patterns, growing customer expectations, and advances in energy-efficient technologies, Fujitsu General’s partnership-driven approach remains central to its strategy.

“The President’s Cup serves as a practical demonstration of that commitment, bringing together the people who contribute to its performance most directly.”
