Panasonic launched its latest reverse-cycle, wall mounted split system air conditioners yesterday.

Delivering comfort and peace of mind to Australians with the latest air purification technology, the Z Series range integrates Panasonic’s smartest air conditioning capabilities.

In keeping with Panasonic’s premium design philosophy and positioning consumer needs at the forefront, the premium Z Series Reverse Cycle R32 Wall Split Systems seamlessly integrate ‘smart home’ features in the form of in-built Wi-Fi and voice control1 , delivering further convenience and flexibility.

Customers can easily adjust temperature, monitor energy consumption and change modes from a mobile device via the Panasonic Comfort Cloud App, maintaining a greater level of control than ever before.

The Z Series models also boast Panasonic’s revolutionary nanoe X air purification technology, which inhibits common indoor pollutants from viruses to allergens, creating a fresher and healthier living environment for Australian homes – a timely technology for Australians preparing for summer.

The air purification capability of nanoe X actively cleans the air and surfaces within a room. It uses OH radicals encapsulated in water to inhibit micro-organisms – including 99 per cent of bacteria and viruses, as well as inhibiting mould, allergens and pollen and reducing odours.

It can be operated even when cooling or heating is not switched on. Panasonic’s Z Series Air Conditioners also deliver improvements to energy efficiency, reducing users’ environmental footprint with the AI-powered ECO mode.

The mode auto-adjusts to the optimal ECO level based on heat load conditions and air conditioning cooling capacity.

Furthermore, the Inverter Control feature varies the rotation speed of the compressor for higher energy savings.

Joe De Bella, senior product marketing Mmnager, air conditioning at Panasonic Australia said the company is always searching for opportunities to deliver certainty, convenience and flexibility to Australian customers, and this is demonstrated with the latest suite of Z Series solutions.

“We know that Australians demand heating and cooling solutions that enhance comfort and efficiency in their homes, while placing sustainability and cleanliness at front of mind,” De Bella said.

Our new Z Series Premium Reverse Cycle R32 Wall Split System range implements our latest ‘smart home’ features. It also upholds our promise to deliver reliable air purification capabilities that can keep Australians healthier and safer in indoor environments.”

Features include iAUTO-X - come home to ultra-fast cooling, and then enjoy continuous comfort Shower Cooling that evenly distributes cool air.

Customers can reactivate faster cooling with a second press of the iAUTO-X button.

Cooling and heating capacities range from 2.5kW to 8.0kW.

Airflow Direction Control2 provides vertical airflow patterns that can be controlled with operation by remote, even from a distance.

There are a multitude of specific modes that enable customers to adjust the power, force, temperature and humidity, ensuring users can find the most suitable model for their bedroom, lounge or entire home.

The AI-powered ECO Mode and Inverter Control varies the rotation speed of the compressor for higher energy savings and auto adjust energy usage.

The nanoe-X technology goes beyond inhibiting viruses, mould and bacteria, it can purify air and penetrates the deepest parts of fibres and eliminates frequently encountered odours.

Built-in internet connectivity is available to control air conditioners remotely by turning a mobile device into a remote controller via the Panasonic Comfort Cloud App.

Other remote control and third-party connectivity capabilities also allow users to control the unit from an external source.

Intuitive voice control is available by using an existing Google Assistant or Alexa device, users can control their air conditioner by voice.

There is a self-diagnostic function – should a malfunction occur, the unit diagnoses the problem and shows the corresponding alphanumeric code, allowing for quicker servicing.

The latest Z Series solutions roll-out from November 2021, starting at $1199RRP.
