A family-owned business since 1970, Airefrig Australia came to this year’s ARBS Exhibition with a raft of world-class products, demonstrating new technology from global leaders such as Aeroflex, Enthalpy, Danfoss, Gomax, Ecopoint and Bitzer.
A major element of Airefrig’s ARBS presentation for 2016 was its new business solution package, which allows customers to log in, check stock and pricing.
The programs modern distribution system links every branch via one network and is capable of supplying products throughout the country with ease. Airefrig general manager, Stephen Cross, said the aim of the business package is to make it easier for customers.
“Our business package is really to try and make it easier for our customers," he said. “If you need to do things at home or if you’re out on site and need to be able to access things, you can do it by just jumping onto the phone.
“Then you can check stock, pricing or the availability of a product. We even have the setup now on our condenser units with a QR code. You can scan the QR code and pick up information on spare parts that’s required for that particular condensing unit as well as any specifications or technical data that you require.”
Quoting and pricing has become even easier using the Airefrig business solution. “A small husband and wife business that work from home don’t have to ring up and check what their pricing is,” he said. “We’re quoting, pricing up if they’ve got invoices that they need to do. It’s there ready, at the click of a mouse.”
The new business solution system even allows customers to calculate heat loads for our products on the fly. “It’s become a really powerful tool. We have the heat load, so people can actually do their own product selections if they choose to,” Cross said. “Then they can actually select the product, price it and know if the stock is available from a specific branch. It just becomes easier for our customers as we integrate more with their business to try and work with them to make it a smooth transition.”
On the stand itself this year, Airefrig Australia showed off its new range of variable speed compressors, inverted driven compressors as well as its standard range of compressors from respected brands such as Bitzer, Cubigel, Manuerop, Danfoss and Copeland.
“We've got the latest with our range of TD condensing units, with all of the energy efficient savings with them, which now go from 2 kilowatts to 35 kilowatts,” he said.
They also demonstrated the latest in tools from CPS, with wireless apps for refrigeration gauges that log and track data.
“Look, it’s becoming more and more prominent in the industry for technicians or contractors to provide data to their customers,” Cross said. “They can show them proper data on how the system is running and if it is achieving the right performance levels. If you see some of the technicians’ tools now, it’s quite interesting how far they have come.”
Likewise, the latest in refrigerant technology was on display. “That's probably the big thing in the industry at the moment, especially the new refrigerants that are coming out,” he said. “Obviously, with the HFC-phaseout in the next few years, we
have a full range of R449 or XP40, R452A which is XP44 and XP10 which is R513A. There is drop-in refrigerants as well as the new HFO refrigerants which are becoming available and have extremely low GWP.”
