Vaisala has introduced Viewlinc Cloud Suite, a cloud-based environmental monitoring solution that helps organisations establish professional-quality monitoring from the outset and expand their monitoring capabilities as their operations evolve.
The launch is supported by Vaisala Care for Viewlinc, a new lifecycle services offering that will be available in selected markets such as Australia.
Life sciences innovation often begins well before organisations establish large-scale or regulated operations.
New therapies, diagnostics, and technologies may begin in a single laboratory or research facility, where environmental control, data integrity, and operational reliability are already critical.
As research progresses and operations expand, organisations face growing demands for documentation, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance.
Vaisala Viewlinc Cloud Suite helps organisations establish reliable environmental monitoring from the beginning of their operations.
The cloud-based solution eliminates the need for a local application server, reducing the associated IT workload.
This lets organisations focus on their operations while maintaining real-time visibility into critical environmental conditions.
Viewlinc Cloud Suite is available in two editions:
- Viewlinc CS Professional Edition: designed for industrial and commercial environments, including healthcare facilities, logistics, museums, archives, and research institutions. It also supports condition monitoring applications for power infrastructure
- Viewlinc CS GxP Edition: designed for regulated life sciences environments, including pharmaceutical, healthcare, and medical device manufacturing.
The GxP Edition includes additional capabilities to support Good Practice (GxP) compliance, including continuous validation and GxP documentation.
The Professional Edition supports applications that need reliable monitoring without the same regulatory compliance and validation requirements.
Organisations can select the edition that best meets their operational, monitoring, and regulatory requirements, including whether they operate in a GxP-regulated environment.
Life sciences innovation depends on reliable data and controlled environmental conditions. Environmental monitoring is critical throughout the research and development process, particularly as organisations move towards regulated manufacturing and commercial operations.
Jarno Mitjonen, manager, software products, Vaisala's Industrial Measurements business, said the next breakthrough therapy, diagnostic method, or biotechnology innovation may begin in a single laboratory.
"Research taking place today in laboratories, startups, and life sciences innovation hubs can ultimately lead to breakthroughs that transform healthcare and even save lives," Mitjonen said.
"Those innovations depend on trusted data, controlled conditions and confidence in the environments where that work takes place. A single undetected equipment failure can put years of research at risk, delay a product launch, or compromise valuable materials.
"Organisations need monitoring that protects critical assets and conditions from the start and continues supporting them as their work evolves."
Viewlinc Cloud Suite combines Vaisala's measurement technology with a cloud-based user experience, bringing measurement instruments, monitoring data, and software together in one solution.
Vaisala has also introduced Vaisala Care for Viewlinc, a lifecycle services offering that supports customers throughout the operational life of their monitoring systems.
The offering includes two service tiers:
- Vaisala Care: a structured package of essential lifecycle services
- Vaisala Care+: a premium offering that provides more tailored lifecycle support.
Services include expert support, remote training, planned system health checks, and extended warranty coverage.
These services help organisations develop staff capabilities, improve audit readiness, and maintain confidence in their environmental monitoring systems over time.
Vaisala Care for Viewlinc will initially be available in Australia, North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa in the fourth quarter of 2026.
