Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Air-Conditioners Australia, Pty. Ltd. (MHIAA) has appointed Stephen Haller as general manager of sales and marketing.

This new role within the company will focus on developing a strong sales and marketing force to continue and expand the company’s success and leadership over the coming years.

With a strong background in business development, leadership and management, and a thirst for knowledge, Stephen acknowledges that he is excited to be joining Australia’s most awarded brand of air conditioners.

“It is a privilege to be joining a team with such a successful record,” Haller said.

“Not only have they won the CHOICE Best Brand of Air Conditioners for four years in a row but also the Canstar Blue Most Satisfied Customer award for three years in a row, it is clear to me that MHIAA produces not only a top-notch product but also one that has been independently and nationally recognised.

“If I can help in some small way to maintain that success, I will be delighted.”

While the next few months will be dedicated to understanding the company’s key stakeholders and products, Haller  is looking forward to developing his management strategy that focuses on four key pillars for success.

“I concentrate on leadership, helping teams thrive in changing market conditions, focusing on four key areas: people, strategy, execution and profit. People are the cornerstone of any business,” he said.

A road map or a strategy is also essential to help the team make consistent decisions that take the business in the right direction. people, strategy, execution and profit, in that order.”

As  part of his new role, Haller acknowledges the strong importance of mentorship and leadership that will be invaluable to the team moving forward.

“When I was a young manager, I was lucky enough to have a few people really invest their time and experience in me.” He said.

“I now see it as my duty to ‘mentor, coach and help others to  improve their skills and knowledge, making a difference for them, their family and their customers.”

Managing director for MHIAA Mr Yuji Ito notes that the MHIAA team is looking forward to this new direction under the leadership of Stephen Haller and his invaluable experience.

“Here at MHIAA, we are delighted to be welcoming Stephen to the MHIAA team. His long-standing experience in business leadership and management will be invaluable to the company in the coming years as we continue to build on our success in Australia and commitment to bringing high quality, award winning products to the Australian and New Zealand consumers,” Mr Yuji said.

Haller joined MHIAA in October 2021 and is looking forward to meeting the company’s customers over coming months.

“I am excited to start meeting our customers who are such an important part of our business,” Haller said.

“I look forward to meeting them either in person or virtually over the next few months to understand their needs and developing strategies for how we can continue to grow our partnership in the future.”
