Mitsubishi Electric Australia today announced the appointment of Sam Garside as HVAC sales manager for the New South Wales central market.

The position will see Garside manage the prestigious HVAC business within the Sydney and Central West region.

With over 20 years of industry experience, Garside has held various roles across a broad spectrum of organisaitons within the industry.

This experience has included positions with mechanical contractors, service based companies, and several global manufacturers.

He returned to Mitsubishi Electric in 2018 after a 13-year hiatus and has been a driving force in the success of the Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) and project business within the Sydney market.

Working closely with his counterparts Jason Lucas (Northern NSW) and Craig Fife (Canberra and Southern NSW), the NSW sales management team are focused on building on the strengths of Mitsubishi Electric in the VRF sector, including introducing new technologies such as Hybrid VRF.

Garside’s appointment is a result of Adam Nobbs’ decision to take on new challenges within the industry.

General manager of sales Zane Barron said it was sad to see Nobbs leave the business and wished him well in his future endeavours.

“We are delighted that Sam will bring his experience and enthusiasm to the position. We are looking forward to ongoing success under his leadership,” Barron said.

Commenting on his appointment, Garside said there are significant growth opportunities for HVAC business in the Sydney and Central West.

“I am looking forward to supporting and growing the existing customer base and seeking new opportunities for the business,” he said.

Mitsubishi Electric is also on a recruiting drive to increase its HVAC Sales Team within NSW, with several positions currently advertised.
