Victorian Premier Ben Carroll opened the Brimbank Tech School at Victoria University's Sunshine campus yesterday.

The $13.26 million school in Melbourne’s west gives more than 13,000 local students access to the STEM facility.

Students from 15 partner schools will also have access to studies in clean energy and advanced manufacturing.

Brimbank Tech School also gives more than 62,000 Victorian students statewide free access to hands-on, immersive training.

It’s the third of six new Tech Schools across the state, part of the government’s $116 million investment in STEM learning.

Students will receive free transportation to and from the Tech School to learn how to solve real-world challenges using industry-standard technology such as robotics, battery storage systems, drones and virtual reality equipment.
