A-Gas has secured AHRI laboratory certification for its refrigerant facility in Canada, which was part of the Refrigerant Services Incorporated (RSI) acquisition last year.
The site now stands as the only AHRI certified lab in Canada and joins three A-Gas facilities in North America including Texas and Ohio in the United States.
Thanks to its Canadian location and AHRI credentials, the Dartmouth lab will drastically reduce turnaround times for lab analysis and refrigerant testing for Canadian clients.
A-Gas Canada general manager, Andrew Stride, said customers will enjoy lower shipping and duties fees, fewer complications with customs paperwork, and the complete elimination of international shipping concerns, creating a truly “Canada-first” lab solution.
“A-Gas is incredibly proud to bring businesses a resource within Canada to meet their testing and analysis needs without the added burden of trans-border logistics,” he said.
The AHRI 700 standard sets globally recognized benchmarks for reclaimed refrigerant purity and quality.
AHRI Standard 700 outlines the stringent composition, purity, and contaminant limits for all fluorocarbon, hydrocarbon, and carbon dioxide refrigerants, regardless of source, ensuring only the highest quality product reaches the market.
It includes rigorous test methods that apply to all new, reclaimed, or repackaged refrigerants, including CFCs, HCFCs, HFCs, HFOs, A2Ls, and hydrocarbons, to meet the evolving needs of the refrigeration and air-conditioning industries.
