BOCK has expanded its compressor range at Chillventa focusing on compressors for higher capacities and lower temperatures.

New to the Frickenhausen-based company's portfolio are two solutions specifically for natural refrigerants such as CO2 (R744).

The director of sales, stationary application at BOCK, Thorsten Schaefer, said the new transcritical 6-cylinder HGX56 CO2 T is designed for even greater performance, especially in industrial refrigeration and heat pump applications.

There was also  a 2-stage compressor solution for CO2 applications in the field of low temperature cooling. In its 90-year company history, BOCK was an early mover in the development of efficient and reliable compressors for natural refrigerants.

"This includes solutions for flammable hydrocarbons and A2L refrigerants, which are a sustainable alternative especially for high-performance heat pump and air conditioning applications," Schaefer said.

BOCK showcased its complete transcritical CO2 compressor range with additional options for capacity control and efficiency increase at the Chillventa booth.

Schaefer said the development of the transcritical HGX56 CO2 T was all about increasing performance.

The latest CO2 compressor of the semi-hermetic BOCK HG range meets as a 6-cylinder the requirement of capacity increase with the natural refrigerant R744 for various commercial and industrial applications.

He said advantages include its holistic BOCK CO2 compressor design, engineered for high loads, which enables greater capacities while reducing the number of compressors.

This ensures leaner system complexity with lower investment costs. In addition, the new model offers maximum flexibility through various design variants, e.g. in addition to use in classic medium and low temperature applications, also for heat pump and air conditioning or as a parallel compressor.

"This also makes the HGX56 CO2 T an attractive and sustainable alternative to synthetic refrigerants and NH3 applications," according to Manuel Froeschle, product manager for Natural Refrigerants at BOCK.

CSO and managing director at BOCK GmbH, Stephan Schumann, said the company’s trade fair appearance at Chillventa in the year of their 90th anniversary, was all about making a statement.

“Thanks to decades of experience and an early recognition of trends, BOCK offers a dynamic product portfolio that provides efficient solutions for a more sustainable future for customers and the environment," he said.
