Fujitsu General Australia has promoted Dave Smith to the role of director of sales, marketing and product as part of a national restructure.

The company has streamlined its national sales team with the focus on channel growth and support.

Fujitsu General Australia managing director, Philip Perham, said Smith’s promotion is recognition of the enormous contribution he has made over the past six years in reshaping the structure and activities of the sales and marketing team.

“Smith has delivered time after time with both sales and financial results in an increasingly competitive market,” Perham said.

The restructure has included the appointment of Peter Cashel to head of sales, and the creation of two dedicated national roles for the commercial and dealer channels.

Ronnie Hinch is now the national commercial manager, and John Bourke has returned to Australia’s Favourite Air to take on the role of national dealer manager.

“This new approach provides Fujitsu General with an outstanding team of highly experienced air conditioning professionals, who have extensive knowledge of the industry, project development and products,” Smith said.

“Fujitsu General is fortunate to have so much talent within its sales team. Together Peter, Ronnie and John have more than 50 years’ experience in the industry; most of those have been with Fujitsu.

“The business is very excited about moving forward with this new structure, focus and support for the commercial channel and our valuable dealer partners.”

Changes to the sales team encompass the role of national retail manager. Late last year George Tsiotras was appointed to the position of national retail manager following the promotion of his predecessor, Edward Jackson, to the position of Fujitsu General’s state manager –Victoria and Tasmania.

In addition to the appointment of Peter Cashel as head of sales, two dedicated national roles have been created for the commercial and dealer channels.

Smith said this new approach provides Fujitsu General with an outstanding team of highly experienced air conditioning professionals, who have extensive knowledge of the industry, project development and products.

“Each of these appointments plays a key role in driving new business and contributing to Fujitsu General’s continued growth across Australia,” he said.

“I am very proud of the team, who all actively contribute to improving sales processes, while continuing to grow established and new partnerships across the channel.”
