Fujitsu General Australia has made internal promotions and expanded its product department to continue driving growth and development within the air conditioning industry.

Kyle Rafter has been promoted to national product manager, following the recent departure of John Bourke.

Rafter has more than 10 years’ experience within the industry, joining Fujitsu General Australia in 2015 as its commercial business development manager.

Fujitsu General Australia and New Zealand managing director, Philip Perham, said Kyle brings a wealth of knowledge and all-round experience within the industry, having previously held vital positions in the commercial sales and product team.

Following Kyle’s promotion, David Rooke, has moved into the role of product training manager developing Fujitsu General’s product training program for customers and internal staff.

“David started his career with Fujitsu General in 2006 as part of the product department. During this time he was known for his diligence, teamwork and excellent work ethic,” Rafter said.

“In 2009 David took some time to travel and returned to Fujitsu General in 2011 where he played a pivotal part in creating the new role of project support, which is now an essential part of the business.”

Paul Saliba has moved internally from Fujitsu Assist to the newly created position of product and controls specialist. With more than 15 years’ experience, he is Fujitsu General’s technical lead.

In recent years, the air conditioning industry has reached new heights in innovation which has led to smarter control interfaces and products. Saliba will take the lead supporting the business in an evolving market of more complex products and controls.

Francia Evangelista has joined the team as compliance and technical officer. Evangelista's responsibility is ensuring Fujitsu General meets and satisfies all compliance requirements in Australia and New Zealand.

Additionally, Evangelista will assist with commentary and advice to industry associations and government regarding standards and other industry topics.

“I’m thrilled to welcome Paul, David and Francia to the team,” Rafter said. “The industry is changing dynamics with more complex controls, commercial product development and innovations within the market, and their combined wealth of experience will play an integral role in developing Fujitsu General product in both commercial and residential markets.

“This is an exciting time for us to continue to build strong teams, ensuring the business is continuously providing excellence in an ever-evolving market.”
