Seeley International has added yet another accolade to its ever-growing trophy cabinet with Climate Wizard securing the ‘Best manufacturer - stand alone cooling’ category at the 2013 Climate Control Awards held in Dubai last month.
Seeley International founder and executive chairman, Frank Seeley AM, said it was rewarding to see the industry recognise Climate Wizard as reflecting best practice and setting the technology benchmark on a national and international level.
"To have Seeley International receive this prestigious award against the backdrop of one of the biggest global exhibitions for air-conditioning, The Big 5 – International Building and Construction Show, is outstanding and reinforces that Climate Wizard is a proven technology which is leading the innovation race,” Seeley said.
“To win the Best Manufacturer category the judges had to consider a range of factors, including the reliability of our product, how easy it is to install and maintain, and the warranty terms and conditions offered.
"While Climate Wizard has created an entirely new category of cooling, ultimately the real winners are our customers who benefit from this amazing technology that delivers superior cooling at a fraction of the cost of traditional methods, without adding any moisture.”
Seeley described Climate Wizard’s indirect evaporative air conditioning as a breakthrough technology that has changed the way the industry – and the world – looks at air conditioning.
"Climate Wizard’s cost-saving capabilities actually increase when the heat is at its highest, and its performance also increases as temperatures rise – in complete contrast to refrigerated systems,” Seeley said.
“It may have taken a decade to develop, but we have created technology that overcomes the performance shortcomings of traditional evaporative air conditioning operating in humid climates and can offer comfort conditions that are equivalent to, or better than, conventional refrigerated air conditioning. It does all of that with reduced electricity consumption."
This latest accolade tops off a year of achievements for Climate Wizard, which was recently crowned winner of the Energy Efficiency and Carbon Management Award in the 2013 Banksia Awards and the 2013 Australian Business Awards for Innovation.
Climate Wizard has previously won the 2010 Product Excellence Award at the Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Building Services (ARBS) Industry Awards, the Greenplumbers ‘Energy Efficient Product of the Year’, the 2011 Australian International Design Awards, and the 2013 World Ag Expo Top 10 New Products Competition.
Adding to the celebrations this week for the Seeley International team was news that the manufacturer had achieved the number 23 position in this year’s coveted BRW Most Innovative Companies list.
These two outstanding achievements were topped off with last week's announcement that Seeley International founder and executive chairman, Frank Seeley AM, was runner-up for ‘Chairman of the Year’ at the CEO Magazine’s ‘Executive of the Year Awards’ held in Sydney.
