A.G. Coombs apprentice, Ryan O'Connor, has won the 2014 First Year Apprentice of the Year Awards presented by the Box Hill Institute of TAFE.
Known as the Alan Broadhead Award, it is presented to apprentices for outstanding academic achievement, leadership qualities, industry service and commitment to learning.
Successful nominees were chosen from 35,000 enrolments. Incredibly, this is O'Connor's second award from the Box Hill Institute.
Last year he was presented with the 2013 First Year Outstanding Student of the Year Award for Refrigeration / Air Conditioning.
