The seminar program for this year's ARBS Exhibition 2014 is a strong mix of technical presentations, moderated panel discussions and case studies.
ARBS announced the first set of speakers this week with more to come later this month.
There is a comprehensive range of standards and compliance updates to fast track attendees on the latest industry developments. This includes a presentation by standards veteran Kevin Lee on ISO 5149 and ISO817. He will also outline the A2L refrigerant safety classification.
Simon Bradwell of ebm-papst will cover local fan efficiency standards while AIRAH will present an update on the PRIME roadmap to low-emission HVAC&R.
UK speaker Sue Roaf of Heriot-Watt University will present on the design of resilient buildings while Dr Karl Mellon of ClimatRisk will cover the Building Resilience Rating Tool. This is in addition to a panel discussion on Building Information Modelling (BIM).
There will also be a number of sessions on the changing refrigerant landscape with Steve Smith of NSW TAFE delivering a presentation on R32 and Arup Majumdar of Danfoss covering refrigerant options for the future. Pat McInerney from the Department of Environment will examine the Carbon Tax Repeal Bills while Michael
Englebright of Carel Australia will cover small Co2 systems.
ARBS 2014 is being held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from May 20-22, 2014.
