The fundamentals of how to build sustainability into your long-term business model will be covered at the 2014 edition of Australia’s Sustainability in Business Conference and Exhibition.

The event, which will be held at the Melbourne Convention Centre from October 15-16, 2014, was formerly known as the Australian Sustainability Conference and Exhibition.

It is geared toward businesses embracing sustainability as a business strategy to drive long-term corporate growth and profitability.  This year the conference will look at how sustainability can help drive innovation that improves profitability while promoting social responsibility.

The conference program is divided into two streams. One stream examines business strategies while the other focuses on sustainability in practice. It will cover key sectors including food production and distribution, retail, the built environment, government healthcare manufacturing, telecommunications, energy and finance.

The conference keynote will be delivered by Adam Elman, global head of Plan A Delivery, Marks & Spencer. He will discuss what shapes Plan A, the major retailer's widely respected sustainability program to become the world's most sustainable retailer.

Another highlight will be the Australian Business Leaders Forum with a C-level panel discussing the theme - Green is the new black . It will examine the growing role of the C-Suite in Sustainability.

The event will run alongside All-Energy Australia, Waste Expo and Inter-Water Australia to form Australian Sustainability Week, Australia’s most significant showcase for the clean energy, sustainability, waste, recycling and water industries.
