Participants at CCN Live 2015 will be taken to the frontline of Australian innovation.

It is an opportunity to get a first hand account of Australia's largest district energy, cooling and water treatment plant at the $6 billion Barangaroo site.

As one of the world's first climate positive precincts of its size in the world, Barangaroo is an excellent example of Aussie innovation.

Speaking at CCN Live 2015, the Veolia Group's energy solutions director, Ross Seabrook, will present details of the 62 megawatt district cooling network.

Veolia will utilise cooling in the form of cold water supplied from a single central chiller plant. The district wide chiller plant will be cooled by sea from Sydney Harbour, reducing electrical demand and greenhouse gas emissions.

CCN Live will be held on August 14, 2015.  A highlight of the CCN Live event this year will be presentation of the HVACR Leadership Awards. Nominations are open through to June 26, 2015.

The awards, which cover five categories, are sponsored by Bitzer, an industry leading company well known to the the HVACR sector in Australia and worldwide. To nominate go to www.climatecontrolnews.com.au/awards
