The construction industry in Sydney is looking brighter than ever. According to the Australian Construction Industry Forum (ACIF), the dollar value of building work done on commercial office space throughout New South Wales is predicted to rise from $1.694 billion in 2013/14 to more than $2 billion by 2016/17.
A number of large projects, including the $10 billion redevelopment of Sydney Central Station precinct, the $660 million Quay Quarter Sydney project and the Bays Precinct urban renewal development, are major influencers in Sydney's current boom.
With large projects such as Barangaroo and many other urban renewal developments ongoing across the capital and New South Wales, it is clear the city is experiencing an exciting state of growth and sustainable development for the future, transforming itself into a global metropolis and financial hub.
Barangaroo will provide space for over 24,000 permanent jobs, generate approximately $2 billion per annum to the NSW economy and provide over 11 hectares of newly accessible public domain.
Details of this exciting world class development will be outlined at CCN Live 2015 to be held on Friday, August 14, 2015 at the Royal Randwick Racecourse in Sydney.
In addition to this world class development, the Housing Industry Association (HIA) said the government will deliver more than 50,000 new houses and apartments from 2014/15.
To hear about these developments as well as presentations from around the world industry is invited to attend the inaugral Construction Expo taking place on March 10-11, 2016.
The two-day event is the ideal opportunity for organisations working in construction to get involved in Sydney’s booming industry, gaining access to major contractors, developers and suppliers from Sydney and across Australia.
